Why it varies
About 95 percent of Dunkin stores are franchised. The company does not require any store to open or close on a holiday. Owners in busy suburban markets tend to stay open because the morning rush still comes. Owners in office districts close because the customers are not there.
How to check before you go
- Open the Dunkin app, tap the store, and look for a holiday hours note. Stores update this a few days before.
- Check Google Maps. Holiday hours appear in the hours dropdown when a store has set them.
- Call. On Christmas morning this is the only reliable method, because some owners decide the night before.
Holiday drinks
