What you can order
Everything. Drinks, sandwiches, donuts by the dozen, Munchkins boxes, Box O’ Joe, K-Cups and packaged coffee. Large orders take a few minutes to box, so for anything over a dozen items the store will ask you to pull forward or order ahead.
Mobile order lane
At Next Generation stores, opened or remodeled since 2019, there are two drive-thru lanes. One has a speaker. The other is for mobile orders: you pull up, say your name at the window, and go. At single-lane stores, tell the speaker “mobile order for [name]” and they hand it out at the window.
Order ahead in the app before you leave. Orders are made when you tap “I’m on my way” or when you arrive, depending on the store setting, so a 5 minute drive is enough.
Faster ordering
- Know the size names. Small, medium, large. Not tall or grande.
- Say the drink in this order: size, hot or iced, drink, flavor, milk. “Medium iced coffee, caramel swirl, oat milk.”
- Ask for the meal deal by name. “$6 Meal Deal” or “the wrap combo.”
- Pay in the app. Scan at the window, no card handling.
- Avoid 7 to 9 AM on weekdays if you can. 6 AM and 10 AM are quiet.
Drive-thru only stores
Dunkin has opened a number of walk-up and drive-thru only stores since 2021 with no indoor seating. They are labeled “Drive-Thru Only” in the app. Menu is the same, and they tend to be faster because staff focus on one channel.

Does Dunkin have a mobile order drive-thru lane?

About 3 to 5 minutes on average. Weekday mornings 7 to 9 AM can be 8 to 10 minutes. Ordering ahead in the app cuts it to about 1 minute.
